From Downtown Morehead City to Beaufort, it’s a good week to be a wine fan, with three distinct wine-focused events coming to the Crystal Coast—ranging from casual tastings and wine club favorites to a waterfront celebration of North Carolina oysters.

Wine & Brine on the Morehead City Waterfront
Friday, January 16, 2026 | 6–8 p.m.
Southern Salt Seafood Company, Morehead City
The week culminates with one of the Crystal Coast’s most anticipated culinary events: Wine & Brine, presented by the North Carolina Seafood Festival and the North Carolina Coastal Federation.
Now in its fifth year, Wine & Brine celebrates the North Carolina Oyster Trail, a grassroots initiative supporting the state’s oyster industry through tourism experiences that create economic, environmental, and social benefits. Hosted on a heated deck overlooking the Morehead City waterfront, the event brings together approximately 300 guests for an evening of oysters, wine, and coastal cuisine.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local oyster growers, sample their harvests, and enjoy wine pairings curated by MF Chappell Wine Merchant. Southern Salt Seafood Company will also serve fresh local Southern and seafood fare, reinforcing North Carolina’s growing reputation as the “Napa Valley of Oysters.”
Tickets are $90 per person and can be purchased at
